A Digital Design Geek
With a passion for all things design orientated, Dawn is a self-confessed digital design geek. A graduate of Graphic Design, Dawn also holds an Honours Degree in Digital Media and a Master of Arts in Motion Graphics from Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
Dawn’s professional career was established while working for several years as a Creative Art worker with a leading telecommunications company in London. Originally a native of Belmullet, Co. Mayo, a yearning for the Wild Atlantic Way brought Dawn back to Ireland to work with Darragh Kerrigan Creative in Sligo, working on projects such as Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, People of the Year Awards and Sligo Tidy Towns. A brief period of working as a eCommerce administrator and marketing manager in Donegal Town, Dawn was fortunate to land an opportunity as a freelance Lead Digital & Print Designer with Designwest – a company, who over the past number of years have worked hard to ‘successfully’ build a reputation for being one of the top creative agencies in the West of Ireland. Designwest boast an impressive portfolio of both National and International clients and some of the projects that Dawn has undertaken include Tommy Fleming, Patrick Feeney, Modular Homes, Times Square Construction and Structural Design Solutions. After 15 years in Donegal, Dawn finally decided to return home to Mayo and now currently resides in Crossmolina with her 4kg dog beast named Cujo.
A Way with Words
A passion for all things design led Michelle to begin her career with a trip to Sligo IT in 2001 where she remained until 2005 when she emerged with a degree in Industrial Design! However, upon discovering her love for Graphic Design during her time in Sligo, she then decided to take off to Athlone IT to further her education with an honours degree in Visual Communications which she completed successfully in 2009. Beginning her career in her native Carrick on Shannon in County Leitrim, her path then led her to County Mayo where she worked as a Marketing Assistant with Carraig Donn for almost two years.
Further opportunities then beckoned and she moved to Multi Packaging Solutions in Westport where she remained as a Graphic Designer for four and a half years, a time which saw her expand both her experience and confidence as a designer. From there she progressed to Designwest in Kiltimagh where she took up a position as Studio Manager for a short time before finally deciding to create her own path with the establishment of Ignite Design & Marketing in January 2017. She is also currently completing her MSc. In Marketing with IT Sligo.

Looking for new experiences brought Dawn through roles as an eCommerce administrator with Magee of Donegal and Marketing manager for All Sports Store before returning to true love – Graphic Design, with Designwest working on some amazing projects for both Irish and US clients.
We love the challenge of understanding a client’s design need and strategically transforming that need into a unique, creative solution that makes the right impression.

My passion for design – thankfully balances well with the essential techy expertise to ensure my work creates the right impression for my clients. I’m a night owl, once the sun goes down, creativity starts to flow, I can’t stop it! Keeping up to date with online advancements ensures a presence for my clients, working around the clock even while they’re sleeping (good news for fellow night owls out there!)
